The August 9th deadline to file a claim against the US government is here and only a handful of cases have been resolved. Despite Congress having given direction to the Justice Department to handle Camp Lejeune claims, very little has been done. Thousands of lawsuits are pending while many settlements have been rejected or the offers have expired.
